Hey /ck/, I'm attempting to stock a home bar, and I'm open to any advice regarding alcoholic and non-alcoholic things to stock it with. Any help appreciated

I can tell by that set up and your reflection in the mirror that, this is your attempt to seduce other men...so I guess some grain alcohol and not so obviously placed bottle of lube in clear view.

Also; I'm kinda inclined to seperate alcohol into types like this:
Beers
Whiskeys
Vodkas
Gins
Tequilas
Runs
Others (absinthe, etc)

Most of the stuff has been mentioned in the thread, but here's a few other things

Vermouth (for martinis)
Cocktail Shaker
Digital Kitchen Scale (really handy for measuring shots)

A jigger is useful too

I'm glad someone already included the Angostura bitters because no bar can be considered fully stocked without it.

If it's used in an IBA cocktail, get it.

> no bitters

How the fuck you gonna make a cocktail nigga?

>> No.5250953

Stuff women like: Baileys, Bacardi breezer and horrible cheap white wine

>> No.5251958

As far as sweeteners go, things like simple syrup, sweet and sour mix, grenadine, and honey syrup should all be made by you. The recipes are extremely easy, cheap, and taste much better than the shit they sell at the supermarket. Keep a variety of glasses on hand, too. Old fashioned glasses, highballs, Collins, Martini, hurricane. You can get lower quality ones for cheap if you don't feel like breaking the bank. They still serve the same purpose. And lastly, go buy a big book of cocktail recipes. It's always nice to have a guide on hand.

>Angostura bitters

Way to read.

Here's a modified/condensed list from
>>5247979
Spirit or choice boils down to preference. It's best to have at least three different kinds, especially when entertaining guests.

>>Gin
>>Vodka
>>Whiskey (bourbon is a must if you want multiple bottles)
>>Rum (white or spiced)
>>Club soda
>>Tonic water
>>Ginger ale
>>Orange juice
>>Bitters (Angostura, Orange, etc)
>>Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
>>Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
>>Simple Syrup (really fucking simple to make)
>>Plenty of ice

I'd suggest picking up a copy of Mr. Boston's Bartending Guide to get a grasp on the basics of home bartending.

I forgot to include Grenadine. Rose's Lime Juice is optional if you want to get an idea on the differences between that and Lime Juice/Simple Syrup.

they aren't the only ones
