Was watching Television and saw some people eating Mayonnaise on white bread. I mentioned to my Dad that it looked tasty and wondered why I never thought about that. Then he said "We used to eat that back when we had no food. And back when we couldn't buy cereal, we crushed up crackers and used those as cereal."

I noticed the guy who delivered my filet mignon to the table had a dirty thumbnail. It was uncomfortably close to the steak, and it almost ruined my appetite.

well it kind of is depending on the type/specific product.
not hugely so, but if you enjoy sweet things then it's kind of appealing I guess.

So Americans don't use mayo in sandwiches like Brits?

You use it like a condiment for meat in meal (I.e. not in a sandwich)?

>> No.5229892

>>5229780
not at all, japanese mayo at best is about as sweet as apple vinigar or a cheap bottle of wine.

>> No.5229898

>>5229869
We still use it as a sandwich condiment.

It's just that we also use it for a ton of other things we probably never should.

Had some friends tell me about the "spaghetti" they ate a few times.

They were living in a house that was paid off, but the utilities hadn't been paid in months. No electricity or water for about 2 months, and they had all these crazy ways to eat. The worst was spaghetti.

The cheapest noodles they could steal + ketchup packets + water from neighbors garden hose. Sometimes would be just "tomato soup" when they couldn't get noodles.
