ha, same here really. well, that and alcoholic threads. but essentially when i really want to eat/drink but can't, i just browse /ck/ and tease myself.

alcohol threads can definitely be annoying when snobs are abound, but when legit alcoholics come around, it's more a discussion about actual drinking than what type of alcohol to drink. which is nice. don't get me wrong, i have my opinions on good alcohol, but i'm definitely not going to judge someone based on their choice of booze. that's just silly. although when you think about it, it's basically how people are judged based on their choice of foods on this board.

Yes. I come for the food pics and stories mostly. I used to come to cook and talk about cooking but I was very fat then. On a possible permadiet, 65 pounds lighter than I was this time last year. I also come for the alcoholic threads because I am the alcohol.

to be fair, we occasionally get some decent OC when people post threads demonstrating themselves cooking a dish.

one of my favorite reasons for coming around is the off chance that the random nice italianon who has vast amounts of knowledge of italian cooking will pop up. that dude has posted so much helpful shit for me, i've got a number of different recipes/techniques from him. one or the few posters i actually wish would trip/namefag.
