stopped reading right there. Everything skyline related is terrible, which isn't a big deal, because we all like eating some stuff that's so bad but yet so good. What is this midwest circlejerk you fags have over the stuff? At least admit its horrible, you're deluding yourselves if you think the rest of the country is jealous of your crap.

Crystal is the best American hot sause. Cholula is the best Mexican hot sause. Shark brand is the best asian-land hot sause. Hot sauces aren't really meant to be super hot, that's why we use fresh and dried peppers in cooking. Hot sauce is a semi-spicy condiment, and should not add heat to a dish.

I find I only use sriracha for a dipping sauce for Thai or Asian type foods.

whatever, vinegar + chili flavor is awesome.

but i'm a vinegar fiend.

tabasco is excellent in its role, though. it's neither especially hot nor especially flavorful, but it offers both qualities in subtlety. it's meant to add a zing to your food without obscuring the dish with intense heat, overpowering chili flavor or a thick mess of sauce. it's in a class of its own away from sriracha and frank's and most of the other standard ones.
