How do I eat vegetables? They're all gross plants.

Feed them to animals, then eat the animals!

Holy shit I think you're on to something.

But seriously: for a picky eater who rarely eats vegetables, how long does it take to get used to them?

about five years, depending on the current age of the toddler.

i never ate veggies, but then I started to notice i would fill up better with them, go to the bathroom better and stopped being a fat fuck.

started eating carrotss raw with just some lime juice and salt. then steamed carrot, broccoli, green beans with lime juce and salt.

thennwith mustard and olive oil, then bell peppers and cabbage, then evry single vegetable i could find...

they're sweet, bitter, salty, delicious.

now a days i only eat 1 portion of meat and eat lots of veggies all day. I cannpig out on carbs and haven't been gaining weight.

starting weight 227....current weight 178.

it took me some 7 years, but its permanent now, i avoid fast food restaurants now, cause there's no good vegetable options (nope, fench fries are. not vegetables, and neither is ketchup)

try with one or two vegetables first and try to master a way to cook them that you like. I hated HATED acorn squash until I learned to roast it in savory spices. I tried steaming it, and I tried it sauteed, I even tried it baked with brown sugar. Finally, I removed the seeds, sliced it up, peeled it, tossed it in a little bit of melted butter, and sprinkled Montreal Seasoning over it. I roasted it in a, preheated, 400F oven for 20-30 minutes until it was browning and soft and I loved it.

My two year old doesn't like vegetables, but he like smoothies. I will put broccoli, kale, carrots, or spinach in with his strawberry smoothies and you can't even taste the vegetables. I will mince up mushrooms, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower very finely and mix it with ground beef and potato flakes to make meat loaf or meatballs. It took me a while to get the proportions right and not end up with soggy meatballs, but when I did, they were great! I tell him they have "yummy veggies" in them and he looks at me like I am a crazy person and eats them happily.

If it's green, add balsamic vinegar to it

If it's any other color, dip it in hummus

The answer is actually really simple.

Salt and spices, but mainly salt.

roast them. specifically broccoli. toss some broccoli in olive oil and lemon/lime juice, dash some black pepper and salt or garlic and roast it til it's a tiny bit singed. shit's good brah. i like adding red pepper flakes too

Stop cooking them like shit and then maybe they would taste good.

This. I feel like most people who don't like vegetables haven't tried them enough/have never had them cooked well. A little bit of salt and pepper can go a long way.

To start out you might want to buy a small bag of mixed frozen veggies. After you cook them, add a little butter, salt, and pepper, and try the vegetables individually until you find out what you like.

Basically just learn to cook them well. I prefer cooked vegetables more than raw ones, although I still eat a lot of salads. For example, for your next meal take an onion and multi colored peppers and fry them up in some olive oil until they start turning getting a nice color. Then sprinkle a bit of chili powder and salt, it's amazing.

If you want to get into eating raw vegetables make a batch of hummus and dip your vegetables in that. I like hummus as a salad dressing as well.

Fresh local organic veggies, blanched, grilled/charred, butter and salt.

Well obviously that would taste better, but this guy doesn't even like vegetables to begin with, so I figured bland frozen vegetables with butter would suit him just fine.
