If you can afford it, therapy. If not find something that will keep you active, if you don't have a job, go volunteer with an organization you enjoy. Offer to dog-walk or housesit, mow lawns, learn difficult recipes, just keep busy. The endorphins will flow and make you feel better and will probably make you more hungry too.

On my low days I would bake tons of desserts and give them to friends and homeless shelters. Seeing someone enjoy something I made helped a lot.

Nah, thats lazyness and being poor in general.
I've been there, though its more because of the weather and that I don't have a car to really 'shop' shop.
Walking everywhere is great on your wallet and your health, but it really sucks when you're trying to stock up on things.
