I really really really really want a large doner meat and chips slathered in ketchup and garlic sauce and mayo

But I have a healthy lifestyle now and I'd like to stay thin. One of those portions is going to exceed my maintenance calories for that day. Is there a healthier version of meat and chips I could have that would satisfy my craving?

just eat half that portion and follow it up with a tall glass of water to combat any sodium-bloating, and enjoy.

Just fucking eat what you actually want to eat and go over one day

>> No.5168574

The healthiest diet is eating exactly what you want, in reasonable amounts.

Also, if you just want to stay thin. Then just eat what ever, and fast the day after. Not eating can be really refreshing.

Have a shish or kofte and chips instead of doner. Still fatty and unhealthy but less so.

I was reading a food blog where an american in the UK ate something like 3 doner + chips a day while training for a marathon but he ran for 20 miles to each kebab shop so it was ok.

Exercise is great in its own right, but in order to lose weight, changing your diet is still more effective.

That's true, especially for lazy fatasses. But still, if you're thin and want to stay thin while eating a little bit more, just do some cardio to balance the calories.

Hah.

Cardio doesn't burn that many calories.

Do you actually believe the machine when it tells you that you burned 500 calories?

Pls, I use my bike to get everywhere fast. When the weather is good, I go for the occasional ride through the countryside.
Enjoying the vistas, breathing fresh air, having fun, staying in shape, using energy which allows me to eat more food. Life can be this easy.

Whether it's a machine or not, you're not burning many calories with cardio.

I'm not someone who counts calories or gives much thought to the composition of my food as long as it's tasty and not trash.
All I can say is that I eat rather large portions of pasta/rice/potatoes/bread with sauce/meat/drowned in oil at least 5 times a week, also I like kebab and alcohol. I'm about 72 kg and I use my bike very often.

When your metabolism slows down in your 30s your bike rides are going to do jack shit.

I'm not fat I lift weights 3 times a week and go for long runs twice a week, for fitness and strength, not to burn calories. I'm not blessed with a fast metabolism and have to weigh everything I eat in order to stay thin.

>> No.5168769

>>5168761
This whole "fast metabolism" thing is not true though. Genetic differences make up for maybe +-5 kg, not more.

Boom. That's the way to do it. Portion control, bitch.

Ever heard of the middle age spread? when you get older your metabolism slows down and you gain more than just 5kg

Enjoy it while it lasts

And throw away the rest of that utterly glorious grease? I don't have the heart to do it
