Really depends on what kind of sauce, but I'm going with angel hair anyway.

Penne past is low tier? You mean the pasta that can hold sauce like no other?

Penne pasta with Alfredo sauce is fucking heaven.... also angel hair pasta.

disgusting angel hair is for 4 year olds

I love eating huge amounts of fettucine noodles. Carboload like fuck, I cram that shit in.

Also, I had some awesome gnocchi in venice with this decent tomato sauce, so that's good too.

No, angel hair is for dishes that require angel hair.
Different pastas have different uses. There really is no tier list for pasta, it's more of a horizontal line of qualities. Sure, you can have a preference for certain kinds, but they all have their uses.

you have to consider the purpose of the shapes though

pasta with ridges or pockets hold a lot of sauce.

Which is why Penne is gr8 but Ziti is shit. They're essentially the same noodle only the former has ridges.

for overall sauce purposes I like Campanelle because it's both pretty and the shape just holds onto sauce

those + fresh pesto sound like it'd be delightful
Too bad finding more exotic pasta shapes is not gonna happen in my tiny USA location
Other than spaghetti noodles, what do you prefer to serve with meatballs? Or chunks of chicken

I like this guy. He sees the sense in pasta instead of sticking to "omg this is the best, it must be the best out of this particular context".

Pappardelle. Radiatore. Fusilli.

...Alphabets.

Chicken (at least, alfredo) I've always done with bow ties.

No idea why.

as for meatballs, if you like long noodles, I like using long hollow ones (I think...Maccheroncini?) Fusilli is also nice.
