Some are better than others but I like any and all kinds.

The local brewery here makes alcoholic beers and non-alcoholic sodas. They sell them all in glass bottles.

Nothing beats a cold root beer from a glass bottle. DAT flavour.

Glass bottle sodas always taste the best.

>tfw bought a 32 pack of Sprecher's alcoholic root beer

Shit was disappointing. Especially when they make such good soft drinks.

Alcoholic root beer. Is the company who makes it insane?

Haven't heard of sprecher?

They make some fine soft drinks, and I love their special amber/bavarian black beers.

Can't say that I have. I might have to go see about that.

Sprechers beer is ok, but their sodas are all excellent. The Cherry Cola is probably my favorite

I love cherry cola. The man who invented it is a god.

BLASPHEMY!

On the one hand, I like their standard brews a lot, but on the other, they've made the only beer I've ever poured down the sink: Scottish style ale.

Its not that their beer is bad, the Black Bavarian is especially great, but a lot of the other breweries in the area are better at beer, but no one else nearby is close to their soda

comes in little kegs too, love this shit

I enjoy Sprechers/ICB/Barqs in general. There was one rootbeer I had, I can't remember the name but it had a drwarf miner on the front and had a toffee like aftertaste that was interesting. In general I prefer my rootbeer minty and not vanilla or licorice based. Any suggestions?

also sprechers cranberry/cherry soda is god tier.

If you're in the area for sprecher's cherry, you're in the area for new glarus cherry

Possibly the tastiest alcoholic drink that has ever passed my lips

>> No.5152948

>>5152933
I haven't had their cherry and I don't drink(underaged and just poor, plus irrational anxiety towards losing self control). I was speaking of Sprechers Ravin' Red which is a cranberry cherry soda.

I will eventually, but I already have such terrible self control and little money that I don't want drinking to become a habit.

Oh man, root beer is the SHIT if it's good stuff. Virgil's and Henry Weinhard's are both great.

On a related note I just picked up some sassafras and sarsaparilla from a random little health food store, and am planning on using them to make some desserts. Should be fun. They both smell amazing- sassafras smells pretty much like unsweetened root beer, and the sarsaparilla smells fucking heavenly, sweet and woody and vanilla-y.

Sprechers is my waifu - if had to have one last flavor before I died, that woudl be it.

Damn, I have a few more favs but lost my list, I've tried about 150 root beers, I have a bottle collection of over 100 and there are are still like another 100+ brands out there.

Then there are the drive-ins that don't resell

Mac's Drive In, in Waterloo NY and White Turkey Drive In in Conneaut OH are the last two places to serve a brand called Richardson Root Beer and that was the best draft root beer I've ever hard - also Sycamore Drive In in Bethel CT was amazing.

Mug N Bun in Indy, Dog N Suds in Ohio, actually Dog N Suds sells in bottles. Had a few stops at the Triple XXX in West Layfayette, a bunch others.

Anyways, I love me some root beer - any new state I'm in I'll check out the supermarkets for local stuff.

Virgils is the best rootbeer that's still easy to find. Way better then the rest of the stuff the average grocery store has, like Barqs and shit. A&W is pretty good though.
