Hey /ck/ what can i add to this burger meat?
Here are the ingredients I have:
>onions
>garlic cloves
>Salt
>Pepper
>egg
>Parmesean, Romano, and Asiago Cheese
>sweet chili sauce
>soy sauce
>oregano
>basil
>thyme

Out of all those items what should I add into the burger meat?

>> No.5146535

>"American style" Kobe

lmao

Add a little bit of worches.. worchust.. worshisitier... sauce in place of the soy sauce and some liquid smoke. not too much or it'll interfere with the binding. skip the egg.

Salt and pepper only. Make sure to cook it RARE even though its ground beef. Thank me later.

You can make crispy onions or garlic on the side, but DO NOT try to make this more flavorful or you will overpower it

>> No.5146550

Nothing.

Shape a putty, salt it properly and give it a good sear. You're cooking a burger not fucking meatloaf, you dumb faggot.

You don't grind the steaks and the other good parts of it but there's a huge amount of in-between-bones meat (which is actually amazing) that can't really be sold. You ever seen "That little mushy part between the neck and the back" package in the meat section?

kobe beef ground beef is bomb.

Cut down on the quantity of ingredients and add some Captn Sleepy's. You'll not only be glad you did, but your guests will be as well.

Then make a patty (preferably fairly thick), put salt and pepper on the outside (maybe a dash of onion powder and worcestershire sauce, but not much at all) then cook to medium rare. Cheese, raw onion, and maybe sauteed mushrooms would be what to go with as not to cover the flavor of the beef.

And always remember, the bread is just as important as the burger. Don't skimp on some quality bread.

your ingredients suck man. if you're going all out with kobe bryant beef, you need to improve your spice cabinet. a mandatory in mines is onion salt, tumeric, paprika, garlic spice mix grinder, steak dust, etc. etc etc among many others. don't waste good meat if you don't have the extra stuff to put it over the top

Here's my go-to recipe; quantities are for one pond of ground beef
1-2 tbsp red wine
>Use discretion, nothing too sweet
.25 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp garlic powder, or equivalent fresh garlic (1 clove)
oregano - drizzle; adjust to taste
Salt - adjust to taste
Black pepper - .25 tsp

Mix well, let sit for 10-15 min before cooking.

I make mine out of ground chuck, cook on George Foreman.

Delicious, simple, and fast.

How can y'all not have heard of Steak Dust on a cooking forum? This is my first time posting on here and I know what it is and have some but how do you guys not know of this stuff? I found out about this thread since OP's picture made the front page and made me very hungry. I have other spice rubs but this in my picture is specifically called Steak Dust and I add it to my burgers from time to time.

I thought the nips just didn't export it for the longest time (now they do in small amounts iirc).

Otherwise it's all just Wagyu beef.

that is just generic Steak Dust. never mind the brand. it is a thing and it does exist. I just happened to be out of it and that was the one I found at the market the particular time I went to get the refill for my cabinet. also some "Spice 101" for new people in the spice game is if you live in a city that has a big Mexican population or live near the US/Mexico border, go to one of those Mexican supermarkets and buy the spices in plastic baggies with labels (sometimes you can get 10 for a dollar) and buy the glass spice containers then fill those up with the spice packs. Its alot cheaper than buying the jars or spice dispensers that most supermarkets sell and the Mexican spices tend to be much more flavorful and delicious.

I went to a swap meet one time and saw this table that was selling counterfeit brand electronics and one that stood out in particular was 'Coby' which seemed like a Sony knockoff at the time. Maybe American steakhouses are getting counterfeit Kobe beef in the form of "Coby beef"???

It must have become more than a flop then. The first time I saw one was in the late 90s as a kid at that booth with the other knockoff brands I was laughing so hard because of how obviously fake they were and I guess 'Coby' stuck in my mind because my family preferred Sony products in the house.

I actually bought a Coby CD player on a whim once, because it was like half the price of the Sony one right next to it. Absolute fucking bullshit. It was by far the worst CD player I ever had, and I went through several of them. Tinny, shitty audio; basically it sounded like you were listening to a particularly-distant radio station rather than a CD.
