What's the deal with cheddar cheese on apple pie? It doesn't sound good.

It's a flyover state thing. Sounds gross to me, but millions of bland and boring midwesterners swear by it.

I used to feel the same way. That's when I used to eat it by itself. But taking a slice, warming it up in the microwave for about 5-6 minutes till warming, and putting it in a blow with a couple scoops of cold vanilla ice cream is just pure heaven. Man that combination is so good. The warmth of the apple pie and the coldness of the ice cream. I wish I could afford both so I can some right now.
