tea cup/mug & saucer from noritake folkstone
The saucer keeps my empty hand occupied and is also a nice resting place for some cheese and crackers, or some cookies, ect.

Snifter, or just a shotglass for liquor.
For beer, whatever's big enough to fit a whole serving.
Standard coffee mug for coffee and tea.
Straight pint glass for soft drinks.
Red plastic cup for whatever.

I like to use this glass. It makes a nice sound when ice cube move around in the glass, kind of like a bell. It is good for wine or spirits.

These pint glasses. I don't like the ones with the bulge.

Depends on the drink, however I generally like the shape and feel of good quality paris goblets, as well as conical cocktail glasses (similar to champagne glasses, but rather than having a stem the full body is conical down to the base).

I also like a specific type of goblet, but I can't find it on google, and I don't have a camera on hand. They're very pleasant for water and apple juice, although designed for beer.

For most things, I would say all you need is a Glencairn for liquors, a tulip glass for fancy beers that have a good nose, a good, solid 12oz mug for hot liquids and a pint glass for everything else.

But on the flip side, I get a kick out of having the correct vessel to drink out of for certain things. My favorite is the little terracotta dish I have for drinking mezcal. Got it at a tasting event. I've also been eying the Riedel whiskey glasses.
