Hey /ck/. I just got a fucking awesome Rice Cooker for christmas, similar to pic related. While this is handy simply because I love the shit out of shrimp rice and cucumbers, I feel I can do more with this magical appliace

Does anyone have any neat little recipes or suggestions to do with this baby? I don't want to sit on it for a while, I hope to get some good mileage out of it. I'm open to pretty much anything

Try this...

1lb dry lentils
3 or 4 cans broth

About 2 lbs total of chopped veggies. Suggestions:
>carrots
>onion
>potatoes
>yams
>celery
>leeks
>whatever you feel like (if you want some more delicate veggies just add them partway through)

Pick any two of these:
>jar of salsa
>bay leaves
>2 cloves chopped garlic
>whatever else you feel like

Insert into rice cooker and hit the white rice button
Wait (the timer will probably be accurate but YMMV)
Eat

I don't like the grilled cheese infographic because it is constantly being posted by first timers to /ck/, and I'm just tired of seeing it? I dunno.
The chili one is trying a little too hard as well.

I picked up a rice cooker last year, and I use it a fair bit. Favorite thing to do is add better than boullion to the water, and throw whatever vegetables I have on hand into the steamer tray
