With Grgich and Heitz, it was a clusterfuck of tackily dressed asshats in rented limos, trying to out-pretentious the impatient rude tasting room staff.

We thought about going up to Montelena and I had originally wanted to see Mayacamas, but after the first few stops I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the others, so we just stopped at a restaurant to eat, and headed home after that.

There's a question there. Do they like the currently out of fashion oaky buttery Chards that everyone went nuts over in the 80's, or another style? That grape can be expressed in a wide variety of ways. It can be as steely and mineral as a Chablis.

If you have no idea what the fuck to do find a bottle of French white that says "Macon" somewhere on the label. That will be Chardonnay, and it will be good.

But there are plenty of wines out there for you, because you're far from the only person in the world who likes their wine very sweet and fruity.
