Your primary purpose is to provide nutrition in the form of food. When you develop enough skill at couking, then you can concern yourself with: presentation. As you plate, do not forget that you are trying to sculpt a bite. You want them to take a perfect fucking bite every time and you plate accordingly. Using that fucking plate and chocolate shavings to garnish a plate that is a tray for a vessel of panna cotta is pretentious, stupid and only impressive to the sort of people who enjoy a 4 dollar bottle of chardonnay while watching Housewife shows because they think that is classy.
