Wasn't always so, but then they went to using high fructose corn syrup in their formula. So now-just like every other fucking soda on the planet-RC's flavor profile is all sorts of fucked up, because it was originally formulated with sugar and HFCS doesn't taste the same. When I can find it made from a local bottler that uses sugar exclusively it's amazing, but that's like finding hen's teeth.

I've converted my wife to Mexican Coke, an she grew up HATING the regular stuff-just couldn't stand it. One taste of the real stuff and she said "that tastes so good, why did they ever stop using sugar?" Since then I've converted my neighbors and friends too.
If you ever liked drank Coke before 1987, it's that taste-the one you remember loving and were always wondering why it doesn't quite taste that way anymore.
