Why is the image called german pancakes?

>> No.5014314

Putting syrup on a toaster strudel is not a breakfast from scratch

I'm guessing OP thinks he made Kaiserschmarrn.

Well, it certainly doesn't look like Kaiserschmarrn. And it doesn't look like Pfannkuchen either.

The best farfennugen and sfitzelsnaffel I had was at a small restaurant in Michigan.

My sides.
I love it.

You make pancakes by just pouring in enough batter to cover the bottom of the pan .. not the whole jar, and then cutting the solidified mass into rectangles ...

It's certainly no Alaska Salad. All you need is simple snow.

OP here, I followed a recipe from my grandmother. She called it german pancakes.

Recipe:

1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a 6x13 pyrex baking pan on 400 degrees in the oven
2. Put 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 6 eggs, and half teaspoon salt in a blender.
3. Pour it in the baking dish with the melted butter.
4. Bake on 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
5. When it's done sprinkle confection/powdered sugar on top.
6. Serve warm with syrup.
