That ain't cleaning material. That's SET IT ON FIRE material.

Seriously, I bet if I looked through the picture long enough I'd probably see at least a couple of rodents. Fucking disgusting.

I couldn't think of living in a house without an oven.

Maybe it's a Scandinavian thing though. Been only a century from the time when one couldn't live here without a fire in the oven around the clock.

In Japan they have countertop ovens. A range would be more uncommon there than the opposite, I gathered.

Apartments in the U.S. are so much cheaper and so much better-looking. The kitchens here are probably in $500/month apartments in some laces, brand-new appliances included.

Here these kind of kitchens are rare, even in suburbia and high-end condos.

I think Canada could work a bit more on infrastructure. I'm surprised no one's figured out a way to pave roadways in a way that they would resist freeze and thaw cycles. I think quality infrastructure inspires respect, and prevents invasion/takeovers, etc.

Reminds me of the time I lived in a place with a rat problem. It was a tiny flat and the bathroom was right next to the kitchen, one day after taking a shower I walked naked into the kitchen feeling all clean and fresh, and immediately stood on a squishy rat turd with my bare foot.

Ruined my entire day.

Not that anon, but my current apartment has a roach problem (filthy neighbors) so I keep everything that's not airtight in the fridge out of paranoia. Takes up a lot of space, but it's better than finding bugs in the cheerios.

I've seen roaches in fridges before...

You need to get rid of them PROPERLY. Otherwise they will never leave. Not to mention you're spreading them to other people's places. All it takes is one egg on your shoe.
