One time it was my job to supply food to a small party (4-5 friends). The plan was to get 2 pizzas, but I dicked around too long and the pizza place was closed by 9. I then thought I'd swing by McDonald's on the way and get some cheeseburgers for everyone. They close at 10 and I roll up in the drive thru at 9:50 and order 12 double cheese burgers. They said they had shut off the grills but would re-start them and cook them for me. I felt like such a shit but there was no other option since it was a small town and everything else was closed too.

If you get your pizza and fuck off before 12 you're fine. If you get it and stay there eating for another 40 minutes after closing, you're an asshole.

Restaurant employees should never expect to leave at closing time. That's not how the job works. You close, THEN you clean up and take care of shit. If you get lucky you can do this before closing, but it's the exception and not the rule.

Of course fast food workers are usually huge faggots so regardless of time and whether you're being a reasonable customer you're taking your chances.

Yes, they are. Franchise workers more so than corporate. Corporate workers take orders until closing time, stay late, clean. Franchise workers shut down 15 minutes early, fuck around, and leave at closing time.
