It's possible, but it's not worth it. You need a shitload of time and ingredients.

>peanuts
>oil(preferably canola)
>salt
>sugar
>some kind of leafy green herb(I use bay leaves)
>eggs
>flour
>a binder(I use baking soda)

Now the hardest part is the cooking process
>grind peanuts until it's like sand
>put peanut sand in bowl
>add eggs and flour
>stir for 10 minutes
>put in fridge and let sit for 4-5 hours
>take out of fridge
>put in microwave for 1 minute
>add other ingredients
>stir for 20 minutes, or until it's a solid mass
>let the bowl sit out in the sun for at least one day
>if it's not sunny, just put it in the oven at 100 degrees for 12-16 hours
>when the mass is as solid as a brick, put it back in the blender
>blend until the mass is liquified or your blender breaks
>let chill in fridge for another 2 hours
>take out, and microwave before each use

Like i said OP, it's not worth it. Just buy pre-made shit.

What? Isn't PB just peanuts and oil?

>> No.4909495

>>4909447
I'm pretty sure peanut butter is just peanuts, salt, and oil blended together.
The hardest part is roasting and grinding the peanuts. If you want consistency approaching creamy peanut butter it is a lot of work.

Have you never had peanut butter that is just 100% peanuts with no other ingredients?

Jesus, you don't need to fuck with all that shit.

If you have these three things and a rough idea of how they would fit together, then yes, it is possible and easy.

Google is your friend.

Seriously, look it up dude, there are dozens of places you'll find recipes for making your own nut butters.

Da fuq is all that doing in a recipe for peanut butter?!!?!?!

It's like you've never actually looked at the ingredients list on commercial peanut butters and just made something up based on what you THOUGHT was in it.

Course I'm leaving room for this being an elaborate troll.

Entirely possible but you need one extra item: a china cap.
Blitz peanuts in a food processor with a bit of sugar and salt, adding just enough peanut oil as sufficient for processing.
Blitz and blitz and blitz and blitz until it looks smooth to the naked eye, even though it won't be.
Paddle out of processor bowl into a china cap.
Press through china cap and voilá! smooth peanut butter comes out the other side, leaving grit behind.

>> No.4910270

i just pour a pack of roasted, salted peanuts in this thing here and pulse away.

no need for extra oil or anything, it comes out as smooth as store-bought peanutbutters.

I make homemade nut butters all the time, shit is ridiculously easy. Just use a food processor and process down whatever kind of nut you want, adding in some oil so it doesn't just become a nut meal. I'd highly recommend trying to make some alternative butters as well, the only limit is your imagination. Oh, and always roast the nuts or seeds before hand, makes everything 100X better.

>Home-roasted soynuts and walnuts, pecan pieces added to make it super chunky
>Cashew and Macadamia nut butter

This.

I like to clip coupons for stores with nut bulk bins, and use a bit of olive oil. Sesame is also fun.
