Is it true that yuropoors don't drink pumpkin ale?

>> No.4867523

I don't know, but I can tell you that it's true that I don't give a fuck what they drink and neither should you.

>> No.4867530

I'm from Michigan and I don't drink it either.

Give me a breakfast stout instead.

They're a uniquely American type of beer.
That said, they're one of the reasons Fall is my favorite season.

buy some next time you're in your local grocery store dude. Really no reason to skip out on it

Probably not. There was one Yuropoor last year that was shocked we ate pumpkin pie.

>> No.4867939

Oedipus from Belgium do a beautiful spiced pumpkin ale, although I believe it's American in style.

I've also had a pumpkin and coffee blend one Halloween but I never did get the name, it was lovely but heavy, not something you could have more than one of without feeling bloated.

Only the most harmful drugs for me, thanks.

What pumpkin ale is best?

The blue moon sucks, I can attest that.

We don't have pumpkin ale where I come from. I've never even seen anyone growing pumpkins in our climate.

Not a huge fan of pumpkins, but I'd give it a try.

P.s. I'm a Finn

I'm sure pumpkins would grow in Finland.

I could be wrong though, but I grew various squash/melons when I was in a boreal climate.

I'm sure it would. It's simply not a popular cultivar, so there's no tradition of making pumpkin ale. I live up in northern Ostrobothnia and the growing season is ridiculously short.

Never had that one, but I have only been disappointed by all the pumpkin ales I've tried.

As a yuropoor getting a hold of pic related, what am I in for? Never had any real pumpkin ale before.

>> No.4869748

Most pumpkin ales are terrible because they dump in cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, etc. I hate how anything "pumpkin" has this flavour profile.

The worst are the ones with pumpkin flavouring.

Pumpkins have a subtle flavor you can taste in the beer. But yes, most pumpkin beers are flavored with the same spices you'll find in pumpkin pie along with some brown sugar.

If you want to taste a pumpkin beer that isn't too spiced and you can taste the actual pumpking, get Punkin ale from Dogfish Head.

Confirmed never eaten a pumpkin. Not a goddamned pie, just a plain baked pumpkin. It is godly, and I pity you for your deprivation of such a divine taste.
