Hi, I asked this last time, I didn't receive any answer yet.

It's about almond paste.
I want to know what's the difference between holding the almond powder with either water, eggs or butter.

Because apparently you can use any of the three or you can even cook it, droping the powder on a syrup.

I see many recipes telling to use different things, some even say that you gotta add butter and syrup to make a good paste.
I'm wondering what was the difference, I don't see the point in using or wasting too much ingredients.
