Hi /ck/! Weaponized /a/ here

Please convince me that turkey isn't absolutely disgusting. Every time I've tried eating some, I get the urge to throw up, so I spit it back out.

Thanks in advance!

Why would we want to do that? If something makes you impulsively vomit no amount of logical dialog will change it.

Maybe you just don't like it, OP!
But maybe you should get your father to beat the aversion out of you. That's how my food aversions got... averted.

So.. what do you find disgusting about it?

Taste? Sorry, can't help you there. Just don't eat it.

Texture? Someone in your household needs to learn how to cook succulent turkey and whole chicken.

I really don't like turkey either, OP. If you just hate how dry turkey tastes, then you can mitigate it, but the taste...can't do anything about that.
Just go with chicken or pork instead.

I agree with the OP in part, Turkey lunchmeat, Turkey burgers/sausages, and overcooked roast Turkey are all totally unappealing to me. But turkey, cooked just right (I brine mine, then slow roast it) is fantastic.

Try turkey meatballs with parmesan and basil. Use 2 dl of sourcream to swell the 2 dl of bread crumbs, sautee half a minced onion and add the hand-shredded basil for the last 10 seconds. Combine with 400 grams of ground turkey, add 1,5 tsp of salt and pepper, 2 dl of freshly grated parm, stir together vigorously and thoroughly to produce an uniform mass, cover, and leave in fridge for 1 hour. Take out, wet your hands and a spoon, pick spoonfuls of mass and roll them into balls with your hand. Pan-fry for 8 minutes per ball in a mix of olive oil and butter. Serve with fettucini and green pesto.

>Pan-fry for 8 minutes per ball
I... I'm not sure how I wound up with that, but I guess I might have meant "pan-fry 8 minutes per panful".

Also use medium-low heat. Please do not burn or dry your turkey balls!

Despite what people say, Turkey is only good when its sliced extremely thin for deli meat or injected with a marinade and deep fried. I love Thanksgiving but I only take the tiniest bit of Turkey since Chicken is the superior bird

Really good, thick, moist roast turkey is delicious.

Deli turkey, not so much.
