Just thought I'd mention that I love donkey cheese and was unaware that Mexicans eat it, too. In addition to cheese, donkey's milk used to be really popular in the 80s and 90s. Not sure it still is today, but most people my age grew up on the stuff because it is the most nutritionally similar to mother's milk. It's sweet-tasting, if I remember correctly.

Cuban here. That's full of shit. Unless you have rich family over here in the States that send you 100 dollars a month, you're either dirt poor or a farmer. Luckily, almost everyone in Cuba has family in the States that send them some money here and there. It isn't that great. The power goes out almost every night in most neighborhoods and floods are a bitch. Havana is nice and all, but some parts are just atrocious. Most of the streets are broken down and people are either too lazy to fix them, or nobody gives a shit about them anymore.
