ITT: Things that did not turn out as well as you had thought.

I cooked some boneless chicken breasts and thighs and I was left with some broth. I decided to fridge, skim it, and make some ramen with it.

It's disappointing. It neither has the sharpness of the usual broth, nor the...i dunno, tastiness, of the chicken broth.

The two sort of annihilate each other. It's not even like spicy phō, it's more like...shitty chicken soup.

I tried to microwave a frozen pizza once.

Once.

Toasted flour burrito, stuffed with plain yogurt, and reheated leftover rice and slow-cooked pork roast. It tasted pretty bland, like it was missing a savory or spicy note.

You're now aware that 90% of that ramen taste is made of salt

I mixed sour cream into some ramen once.
It was fucking horrible

Wait are you sure you didn't make chicken stock instead?
Chicken stock would be chicken flavored water.
Chicken broth is chicken flavored water with seasonings added to make it tasty.

I had a friend who was living on a tight budget and had jack shit in his fridge when I came over with another friend. Ended up making a stir fry of onions, hash browns, and a bean burrito. Cost him less than $4 to feed three people and it was delicious.
