Yup. That's how it is usually made, though, even in traditional restaurants or in native countries...bright red yogurt marinade from paprika, tumeric, or dye. A tandoor is a type of oven afterall. Baked on spits lowered into the clay oven, or baked in a clay dish, same flavor profile.

Garbage plates are okay. All it is is meat, potatoes, mac salad, onions, and bread. Some places add beans and hot sauce/mustard.
At least with the munchy box you get some variety, it honestly doesn't look too bad. And way more appealing than a garbage plate stuffed into a styrofoam takeout box.

Nature is great, but driving from Malmo to Stockholm, and Stockholm to the border near Oslo/Gothenburg there is just.... nothing. Trees, but not brilliant forests like in Germany and no views. Seriously, do you not know about the urban chicken shop craze in the UK?

Every high street in at even the smallest town has a seriously cheap chicken, kebab or burger shop that's manned by about five immigrants from any country between Turkey and Pakistan who barely speak functional English. At three to four in the afternoon every day, you'll find swarms of kids around there, sitting down by the road with a pound of chips and maybe some wings on the side if they're splashing out.

It's the epitome of fast food that I doubt even the USA would match. These places are absolutely brilliant for sloppy fast food when you feel like being trashy or when you're drunk. Seriously, get plastered some night then go out, get a doner kebab and scarf it down on a park bench with your bare hands. You'll feel like a fucking king afterwards.

Depends on where you are at in the US. In the South west we have places like this called Taqueria. They serve these all sorts of things, but the best is usually these little things called street tacos that can have anything from Brains to tongue in them. Fucking amazing. Of course I really don't know if this compares to what you're talking about.
