It's not like the golden dog is going to make food for me.

Don't worry, they'll soon be replaced by minorities or teenagers who are actually grateful to just 'be employed', instead of whining, entitled 'muh 99%' people who blow thier meager earnings on lotto tickets and booze, and it'll just be business as usual.
Just give it a week or two.
Till then, ...just heat up some ramen.

>New York fast-food employees joined thousands of colleagues from across the country in a Thursday strike aimed at boosting their salaries to $15 an hour — more than double the current minimum rate
Actual cook here, what the flying fuck. Almost everyplace you go know wants some sort of formal education in the culinary field as well as at least three years experience but we're willing to give fast-food failures with no actual talent or motivation a free fucking wage hike?

Fuck this.

hahahaha
how is it my fault these people didnt go to school?

>> No.4756333

There's no way they're going to get $15/hr, and they probably know that. They're asking for much more than they expect to get to make it seem like a compromise if they do get a raise (which they probably won't). They're probably expecting/hoping for something like $9.00/hr.

>$15 a hour for a fast food job

So I guess now the value menu is going to be the 5 Dollar Menu.

Isn't minimum wage in NYC something like 12/hr anyway?

Oh, and here in North Dakota, you can make 15/hr at fast food places.

I worked with one of the larger firms that helped create the modern PoS systems that McDonalds uses. Basic arithmetic isn't even necessary.
