What is the best/easiest way to cook a steak without a grill? I have never cooked one any other way so I'm unsure how this should work.
Also... Are there better cuts suited for specific methods? I'm usually a ribeye kinda guy, but am willing to branch out if it cannot be cooked properly inside the house.

Temp for water? Time?

Well with sous vide the temp of the water is the temp you want the steak to be, or 5F less if you're going to sear it to finish. The length of time required depends on how big the cut of meat is. An 8oz filet is going to reach temp much faster than a full chateaubriand, but it's generally going to take at least an hour.

wow that guy is so cool and sophisticated just look at how rare his steak is, thats how REAL MEN eat their steak, people with refined tastes who don't want to ruin the meat by cooking it. he brilliantly only seared it for 30 seconds, obviously to seal in the juices, not that you plebs would know anything about culinary techniques like that.

But it's not especially rare.

Sear both sides of the steak on a pan that's been heated on high heat, only turning it once. Then cook it in the oven for a bit to cook the inside. Take it out of the oven and let it cool to room temperature before cutting in and eating it.

Tried this and had the most tender fucking strip. It's a long read compared to simple recipes/directions, but it's well worth it

the oven part is important to kill off the bacteria

sometimes when i cook steak i still feel like theres germs on the steak and it hurts my stomache

also i x the steak so i don't feel sick looking at the steaks cause it looks like human flesh when i cook it and it stresses me out
