I'm having some friends over on Saturday and I'm looking for inspiration for the dessert. I want it to be a cold dessert with lots of creaminess, so cakes and stuff with too much fruit are out of the question.

I already know how to make flan, chocopudding and tiramisu but I'm looking for some twist on those or something altogether new.

Why not creme brulee? Make it ahead of time, pop it in the oven when you need.

Or you could do a bangin' cheescake.

Bottom: Graham cracker crust
Next layer: double chocolate Oeros that have been split open, use the side with the Oreo icing for this layer
Next layer: vanilla pudding
Next layer: vanilla wafers (like Nilla brand)
Next layer: chocolate pudding
Next layer: the tops of those Oreo cookies you have left over
Next layer: This is important. Use heavy whipping cream, the real stuff not the shitty cool whip pre-whipped crap, there is a massive difference.
Next layer: criss-cross the top with Reese's Shell Topping syrup stuff, forming a grid of squares
Last: place strawberry slices in the squares

Put this in the freezer, but don't freeze it. Just get it very chilled before serving it. Wait 1 hour before serving it so the cookies can soak up and soften a bit.

Alton's Creme Brulee, not cold but still fucking good: http://www.foodnetwork.com/creme-brulee/video/index.html

And my nigger Gordon Ramsay with a vanilla bean and berry cheesecake, keep in mind you could easily replace the flavors for other things:

Nice, I hadn't thought of creeme brule.
I'm not a fan of cheese cake.

How about stuff with lots of chocolate?
