My jalapenos are an inch away from harvesting. It's a pretty bountiful crop, so I'm trying to gather as many recipes as I can.

Anyone have suggestions?

I honestly have no clue how you'd do it, but I know that bread-and-butter pickled jalepenos are delicious. I think you could also stuff them and make those jalepeno popper things, but I've never had one so I don't know how that'd go.

do some poppers
make pickles
stuff some of the pickles with feta cheese and dunk in olive oil

get into canning.

I love them on the grill. It's important to me that they get fully cooked, depending on hotness, scrape out by halving, fill with cream cheese/cheddar combo, minced cilantro, and wrap with a thick slice bacon.

Jelly. Zone 5b here, so my peppers are a long way from being harvested (couldnt plant until late may)

When I was younger we grew our own food. We grew some jalapenos. I was pretty retarded and didn't understand the difference between brined and fresh jalapenos. I made nachos with a fresh crop of our jalapenos once.

ONCE

If you have no taste and want the hottest, go for Trinidad Scorpians. You sound like a stupid celebrity chef wannabe, "LETS THROW OUT NAMES MAAAAAANNNN!"

Jalapeno Jam. Uses up a shitload of them if you have too much, preserves them, and it's super delicious.

Personally I just use my freezer to preserve peppers. Sometimes it's necessary for instance when buying Chocolate Habaneros in New York, they're only for sale during a few weeks of the year, and that varies depending on harvest time.

So I buy a bunch when I can, throw them in freezer bags then right into the freezer they go. When I can, I get enough for a year.

I forgot that half of /ck/ doesnt give a shit what you are growing, unlike /diy/

also OP, jalapenos are great in a fresco salsa. make that up, eat the crap out of it, give it to friends and family
