I find it hard to think of a situation where cheese fries would be preferable as a side dish. It's overkill. Good for a snack in lieu of a meal with drinks, but otherwise I'd never order cheese fries.

Also the places that offer cheese fries generally do not use good cheese, and I'd rather have no cheese than shit cheese.
