Bones imply dark meat, which is more flavorful than white meat.

The bones also provide additional flavor and moisture. If you're cooking it yourself that also provides a buffer against overcooking.

In other words, it's tastier, juicer, and easier to cook.

The skin always seems to get crispier than other pieces & theres almost as much meat as on the breasts

I have to say breast, because I'm simply not a fan of dark meat when it has been fried. The taste is much better, I have to admit, but I've never had fried dark meat that had a good texture to it - maybe I've just been eating shitty chicken.

Anyone with half a brain can cook a juicy chicken breast. But it will never be as juicy or flavorful as a thigh, or quarter. If you really believe that, you're worse than a shit cook, you're also an idiot. Dark meat will always be more flavorful and juicy than white meat. That's not opinion, that's fact. Hence the reason why duck, goose, pheasant, teal, quail, are considered higher quality and more desirable than chicken.
