I'm a home cook, so my kitchen aid chef's knife, santoku, and steel is all I really use and it's worked fine for years. I got the set, but other than using the occasional bread knife to cut a loaf or steak knife for steak, those are the only two knives I use with any regularity.

I use weeb swords mostly. They never need sharpening due to the superior full-tang construction. Pic related, it can pass both the manila rope test and the penny sawing trick, both of which are useful traits when cooking food.
