Food you love to eat that makes you feel like a fat ass afterwards. For me it's these guys. I usually only let myself eat one or two every once in awhile but my arteries feel immediately clogged. Obviously a SW Ohiofag here!

OP here, I go back and forth between liking cheese on it or not. I was raised eating them with cheese on it, so sometimes I like it for that reason. At the same time I think it tastes better without cheese. Just depends on my mood.

Mid Michigan fag here, that is an incorrect filename, while I appreciate the mountains of cheddar you guys put on your dogs down there.

Chili on a hotdog does not a coney make, it is still just a chilidog.

This however is a coney...

How the hell do you make Ohio chili?

I live in South Florida, but I'd visit my best friend every summer in Ohio and we'd always get chili cheese dogs. I fucking love them.

I've tried making my own, but mine always just doesn't come out right. The local places make theirs too savoury for me, and we don't have Skyline/that other chili cheese dog place brand in our stores so I can't buy it canned.

grew up south of dayton, used to get coneys from skyline during lunch in highschool. I'd get them to go, drive back to school and eat there, the cheese would melt and make encase the dog and chili so that they wouldn't escape. Good stuff, but i'd fart these rancid stinkbombs nonstop for a good few hours after lunch, I always felt bad for the girls that sat behind me in english class!

SW Ohio is boring as hell though, glad I moved, where are you in?

The cheese is so thin its actually not that abrasive

>> No.4550504

>>4550350
That's a good point to make. The cheese is like cotton candy volume-wise. If you melt it all down, it would be about the same amount as you normally eat on pizza. The texture is wonderful tho. Fluffy sharp cheddar cheese.

Other comments: the chili deginitely has cinnamon in it. A very small amount. You can't pick it out but its in there doing weaving its magic (try a bit with you own chili and I guarantee your guests will wtf'ing all over the place saying goddamn every 3rd word). Also some allspice-like stuff in similarly low ratios. All of the above-mentioned spices disgust me when having a dish that focuses on them, but they are so subtle in the chili you don't notice them individually.

There are websites you can order cans of the chili from. I have a friend that mails me a big box of the cans @xmas (and Frisch's tartar) but they also have really good cheese and noodles, so dining in would always be my first choice.

As for the gas... I never had that problem but if I eat it late at night or with any alcohol I get the heartburn from hell. Makes me wonder what ingredients are in that because that has never been an issue otherwise.
