Recently I made pretty good friends with a wholesale butcher, who is getting me some of the greatest deals ever. 20 360gram chicken breasts for £20 is just incredible. However I'm pretty shit when it comes to cooking and basically just make curry with them.

So with the new incredible value for what I can get I thought I'd decide to learn to make new dishes, etc. However I have no idea what other meat/cuts/types to get. I want to make a steak but have no idea which cuts to get. As it's a wholesale membership place that he gets his discount (probably steals) from I can't look at things to buy them. What should I try and ask for? Nothing too exotic, mostly pig/cow/chicken/lamb.

tl;dr I'm friends with a butcher what meat should I get for next to free?

What kind of chicken breasts?
Boneless skinless?
Bone -in?
Drummette attached?
Other?

Boneless and skinless. No drummettes.

I am so useless with meat cuts I didn't know it came any other way. My apologies.

They'll be 80% boneless skinless. With 20% water. May be 75/25. Usually rate is £20-25 a box

No worries, man. None at all.

Can you ask your butcher friend for specific cuts of meat, or is what you get what you get?

There are so many recipes out there for similar cuts of meats, things often need to be narrowed down before anyone can give any real help.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that's not incredible value. It might be good value where you are, but I'd have to guess that's because you haven't shopped around much.

I'd expect to pay no more than a quid per chicken breast, and would hope for slightly better. Best price I've seen lately was €0.75 per breast, which is around 64p.

Post the per-kilo prices for the various beef and pork cuts and maybe you can compare prices with people from other parts of the UK.

As a good start how about:
filet of beef (very expensive but a good reference point for starters),
sirloin steak,
round steak,
housekeeper's cut.

Pork:
pork loin,
gigot chops,
smoked ham.

Lamb:
leg,
chump chops.
