What is /ck/'s opinion on Fiji water?
Is it worth the 3 bucks a bottle? Is it actually any cleaner or better tasting than regular tap water?

No it isn't you could collect rain water and run it through a charcoal filter and get the same taste.

I think it tastes great, but by buying that stuff you're supporting a brutal, corrupt military dictatorship.

I switched to SmartWater. Despite being manmade and with silly words on the bottle, it's one of the best tasting waters available.

You're paying $3 for tap water.

They're both bad, but at least with the coffee you're paying for the beans, sugar, milk, etc.

In the end though, it doesn't matter because they're both bought by the same idiots, like yourself, who have more money than sense.

The etc is the important part. It's why $0.02 worth of beans in a cup that cost $0.07 costs $1.95.

As opposed to the $.005 per gallon for the tap water.

They buy enough water to fill 32 bottles of water before they're even paying a cent for it.

I didn't like the taste. Its unique component is silica ... well, it's reported as a trace mineral.

It's like sandy water.

Zephyrhills will always be my go to.

I can't imagine drinking "purified" water, because in the end it's just tap water run through a bunch of shit.

Spring water, like Zephyrhills, is exactly that: Spring water.
It's something I can't go get myself, so I have no problem paying for it.

I drink bottled water all the time.

At work we have one of those filtered water fountains. Every morning I bring my empty waters and refill them.

I've been drinking clean, great-tasting water for years and haven't paid a cent.

I really enjoy Fiji water, fuck the haters.
It's a very soft water, which gives it a great mouth feel.
I don't drink it all the time, I use a Brita filter pitcher on a daily basis, but as an occasional treat, it's fantastic.

Nothing beats BC tap water. Best in the world. You all be jelly my I flush my toilet with water that's still better than your best bottled water.

>> No.4514248

I refuse to buy any bottled water. Mostly for environmental reasons. I will admit there is a small difference in taste but it's so insignificant I couldn't care for it.

>> No.4514265

I'll tell you what. I have a case in my car for emergencies, and besides that, the only bottled water I purchase is Voss. And before you faggots get all uppity about it, I only purchase it because I take a coin to the bottle and scratch off the label and have myself a1.79 classy glass water bottle. For drinking, I use a Brita.

if you have the fridge space for it you're stupid for not just buying one of those filter tank things with the tab that hangs off the shelf.

walk up and fill your glass with ice cold water. just have to fill it every 10 glasses or so and swap the filter like once every 2 or 3 months.

tastes great. love it.

I hardly ever buy bottled water, but when I do its a little bottle of Fiji
I love the squareness, and its one of the few bottled waters that doesn't leave me thirsty.
(Aquafina and others do for some reason)

>> No.4514324

My tap water comes from a well and it floods regularly out here. We get a lot of farm runoff and there's a small pond on our property (it's filthy) that contributes to a lot of the flooding. We also use a septic tank.

Our tap water is kind of vaguely yellow/not quite clear and tastes like pennies and sediment. It makes me ill when I drink more than a glass, even when boiled. It's not so bad if you cook with it.

We buy and only drink bottled water, to say the least.
