It's not pleb at all. There are quite a few lovely muscat wines, but for some reason it's been decided that in order to enjoy wine it has to be acidic and bitter. This was probably decided by the same people that think beer should be bitter, hopps-y shit.

Anyway, try some Tokaji. I think you'll like it.

First smoked beer I had was something a brewpub made as a one-off. It was like drinking bacon, without the greasiness that'd normally imply.

It was wonderful, but they never made it again. It's also hard to find smoked anything in stores, though I've find a few smoked porters since. They didn't taste particularly meaty; just vaguely like liquid smoke.

Still good, but I want to find another "meaty" beer. I could drink it between two wit beers and call it a sandwit.

vodka, gin, some rum, lower end bourbon, like even williams or henry mckinna. blended scotch or irish, seldom. to be honest, I like white Riesling( low alcohol GB wines) but almost any other, chardonay or other white gives me terrible indigestion. erp...even sacramental wines, like MD are ok( not md 20/20) or even cold duck.. just not dry white. go figure. I use vermouth for cooking, occasionally, but mostly red wine. unless bought specifically for a reason it does not stay around the house too long. somebody ;) drinks it.

As far as white or red wines go, it just depends on the mood and what kind of red. I hate super tannic and dry red wines.

My favorite wine I've had is scuppernong--muscadine wine. Shit is sweet and when I smell it, I think of when I was a kid in SC eating wild muscadines straight off the vine. It's also strong for a wine.

Second place goes to white merlot--that red wine, grapey taste without the dryness.

Beer? Pale ales.

Liquor? Depends. Silver rum and tequila are good.
