i have an ebt card and i'm sick of eating frozen pizzas and bosco sticks every day
what are some meals that aren't total garbage that i could whip up in 15 minutes or less made from ingredients i could find at any large supermarket?

Most meals take less then fifteen minutes to make. The ones that take longer usually involve simmering in a pot or slow cooker which don't require much attention.

Make big meals and freeze them? That would only take away from your addiction one-two days a week.

also i'm not vegetarian but i was raised vegetarian and never developed much of a taste for meat so preferably no meals where meat is the star

i was going to go to Craigslist and look for a job, but now i feel like crap because of your hate-filled comment.

so i will have to eat some cookies and milk. maybe then i will feel better about myself, but probably not because i am slightly overweight.

don't you see what you are doing when you vent your hostility on strangers?

There was no hostility on my end when I typed that message. It was emotionless mocking. You should go look for a job. It's spring and that's the best time to find work.

Eggs, potatoes and some kind of vegetable/salad can make a huge variety of meals. The eggs can be scrambled, fried, poached, boiled, made into an omelette, etc., the potato can be boiled, mashed, made into chips, etc. and obviously you have a world of choice in the veggie aspect of the meal. For further variation try adding cheese and/or herbs to the eggs or potato.
Swap the eggs out for sausages, pork chops, a storebought pie or whatever for even more meals.

There are lots of sauces you can prepare in the time it takes to cook pasta (~10 minutes). For example a macaroni cheese type sauce (mix 1:1 butter and flour to make a roux, add milk and mix to make béchamel, add grated cheese), pesto (grind together pine nuts, garlic and basil) or simply combining some tuna, mayonnaise and sweetcorn to stick on top.
Other sauces like bolognaise take a bit longer to make since they need some time to simmer. You can make them in bulk and refrigerate or freeze portions for faster meals another day.

Rice cooks in about the same amount of time but I don't make enough meals with it to suggest any really.

Bolognese as >>4490504 suggested is a good one. Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk_CGtA4HIY
Also soups and stews like this http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/mushroomsoup_83366

It's pretty easy to find recipes on sites like youtube or BBC food. if you can't be bothered to do that it would probably help us if you gave an idea of what you like to eat.
