that looks delicious, but also kind of nasty. keto diet seems like you would break out in acne and smell really bad from all the meats and cheese.

not op, i'm the first poster, but I've lost like 7lbs of water weight the first week. I'm tired as shit after doing an hour of LISS cardio.

well kinda. I say kinda because /fit/ believes cardio kills muh gainz. LISS is a type of cardio that targets fat loss.

>, but have been a pile since then and have gained 36lbs, all fat.

how did you do that? that might be some sort of record.

what sort of foods? i'm asuming there was no activity other than food preparation?

0 activity. lots of high sugar/ high fat foods. i didn't really prepare many foods either. i was forced to move back into my parents house after 5 years of being on my own and forgot that food was available in such abundance. my family encouraged me to eat as much as i could to gain weight. lol, i did, but it sucks. i'm trying to get into keto

it's okay, man. just as long as you work on it, you can get back to 8%. most important thing is diet, and if you eat healthier than it makes everything much more easier. and if you do keto, you can lose body fat in the process.

LISS stands for Low Intensity Steady State cardio. This means you do cardio, which ranges from walking, on the elliptical, stationary bike, etc for 65-75% of your max heart rate for an extended long period of time. I usually do it for 60 minutes on a stationary bike. If that is too long, search up HIIT cardio, which takes like 10 minutes.

>> No.4488726

>>4488697
It doesnt. LISS stands for low intensity steady state. Which means alot of exercise that doesnt require hard work, like jogging. They say it kills gains because you burn the calories you eat uselessly, because you wont actually pack on any muscle by doing low intensity cardio. Honestly LISS is only what you should do when you are injured, too fat or as a substitue for breaks between HIIT.

lol thanks man! i need to get back into some kind of exercise regiment. are you doing keto and LISS together?

Didn't expect to see any Atkins related here. I'm trying it, started 6 weeks ago at 198lbs, 6'2". Today I'm 169 pounds. Some variation of bacon and eggs with cheese for breakfast every morning with a cup of coffee. Salad (usually spinach) with pulled pork or sandwich meat for lunch, plus pepperoni and olives or almonds for a snack. Chicken and low-sugar veggies for dinner. Pretty liveable diet, only had to go crazy and eat ice cream like 3 days.

have you noticed any difference in energy levels or over all well-being?

>are you doing keto and LISS together?
yes. around the 45 minute mark I am dead ass tired due to the fatigue effect from keto, but I am going to keep at it and drop my body fat.

but man, keep at it and just remember your long term goal(s). good luck and remember, we're all going to make it brah.

Felt physically weak during the first two weeks, under 25 grams net carbs/sugar per day. Not in overall energy levels, but in any exertion I made such as running up stairs or wrestling with someone (I am in hospital security) I would get burning muscles and out of breath, heart beating fast much sooner than normal. But for normal activities, I felt okay. As for well-being the sugar cravings are the only problem, I'd say 2 or 3 days a week I get pretty anxious thinking about cake or pasta or something. But no physical symptoms of hunger, just mental craving for impossible foods.

haven't yet. I've yet to buy some pork shoulder. anyone have a keto pulled pork recipe?

>> No.4488767

>>4488758
>One pork shoulder, or butt, or roast
Plus one of the following
>A can of saurkraut
>can of rotel chili-flavored diced tomatoes
>can of rotel lime flavored diced tomatoes
>jar of Salsa
These have varying levels of sugar depending on the non-pork ingredient. You could also do a cup of (sugarfree i.e. diet) soda and some dry bbq seasoning. Also, Costco sells a Kirkland brand hickory smoked pulled pork that I thought was super flavorful and tasty, which had zero carbs and sugar b/c it's only flavored with hickory smoke. I put hot sauce on mine to give it a little more moisture. All of these are best in the smallest crockpot which it will fit in, cooked for 8 hours on low.
