Join me in saying goodbye to the finest burger McDonalds ever made: The Angus Third Pounder Mushroom & Swiss. The third-pounder line is being discontinued, with the Mushroom and Swiss being completely ditched and the other two downgraded to quarter-pounders. WHY DO GOOD SANDWICHES HAVE TO DIE!

I had the jalapeno angus burger twice. Like all angus burgers at McDonald's, it is ridiculously dry.

That said, it is nice with extra McChicken sauce on it.

no one ever makes a good mushroom and swiss

the best ones I had were in highschool and it turned out I was the only one that ever bought them so they stopped making them till I talked to the lunch lady so they made just two every day for me

I LOVED the BK mushroom swiss steakhouse.
I tried the Angus mushroom swiss and hated it. Meat was dry and flavorless. Like all McD sandwiches, the cheese never melts and there wasn't much sauce.

I liked to Angus Mushroom Swiss. But seriouslky you can replicate it very easily.

>Get low end ground beef

Cook it all together and bam there's your sammich.

I work at McDonald's.
Last night, we were down to our final few Angus 1/3 pounder patties. I cooked the final one on the grill at around nine last night. It was a quiet, uneventful moment. The rain fell hard, and as we laid that patty down onto into its bun-shaped grave, a lone manager with owl-eye glasses said, "The poor sonofabitch!"
I imagine this is what it will be like when polar bears finally go extinct: a passing of an era, but an era that will be remembered indifferently

Also OP, don't fret. You could easily make a better version of the Angus Swiss at home (I've had it, it's shit). My recommendation, try using shiitake mushrooms instead, much more robust/earthy flavor, and a nice meaty texture compared to lamesauce crimini/portabella. Finlandia swiss is my favorite swiss (see if they have it at the deli). Good mushrooms, good swiss, good beef, it's easy mode.

One thing I remember about those is that they LOVED to slather them all in mayo. I don't want mayo to be the prominent flavor when I bite into a burger.
