Ran into this little gem at Lowe's Food the other day, $4/550ml. It's surprisingly bright at the first taste, citrus-esque and floral. Quickly melds into easily distinguishable chocolate and coffee.

What's /ck/ drinking tonight?

Thats a good beer OP, I liked it. If you can you should try the Samuel Smith's oatmeal stout. I'm not a big stout fan but I love that stuff.

Ahhh a fellow Dogfish fan! Herro!

Friend of Mine hooked me up with a bottle of Dogfish Head's 61 Minute IPA brewed with Grape Must. It's surprisingly really good! Starts off like a lighter IPA but then the grape finish comes on strong and keeps going like the Kool Aid man on your tastebuds. Not sweet, but definitely a very strong "grape" finish. Good hot day beer methinks.

Not a huge fan, though I do love Palo Santo. Haven't found a grape beer yet that's set my world on fire. I doubt I'll find that one around here anyway.

The 10% in Burton Baton is pretty well hidden I must say. It's kind of an odd beer, but well done. Maybe more like a barleywine than a DIPA.

Reviewed this beer on my podcast last week; I had it a few years ago and thought that it was really peppery, but on second try, it was one of my favorites. Fruity, hoppy, but not bitter.

PROTIP: Don't let this beer get warm. Seriously, it turns on you like a rabid dog.

You know the only reason beer is expensive in bars is the convince right? You're better off paying the same amount in a store for beer that's actually, well, good.

It's a nice cocoa stout from a local brewery. It has a very strong and distinctive dark chocolate flavor.

Little Sumpin Sumpin was the first Lagunitas I had, I didn't know there was a seasonal version though.

In CT we get very few of the best seasonals. Either have to go to VT or NY for real beer selection

Ahhh I loves the lagunitas. I got to take a tour of the place now for two years in a row (got a good set of glasses as a result too) and I just plain love the folks there. Sumpin is great along with their new Undercover Shutdown Investigation Ale (slightly hoppier than sumpin).

As for their seasonals, that might be changing later this year. They're planning to open up a Satellite brewery in Chicago and I do believe it's coming online either later this year or early next year. So with any luck you'll be able to get more stuff out on the east coast.

Thats cool. I think of Austin as a resturaunt-centric city and its got a nice battle between Central Market and Whole Foods, but no people be crazy if they think its better than, say, Bay Area.

But Adelbert's, pretty damn good beer. But perhaps I just have a weak spot for tripels in general.
