Rate my grill station.

Also, do you think there's some other stuff I ought to add to it? I've been thinking about getting a ceramic smoker.

Also BBQ/grilling general, I suppose

also what kinds of wood do you smoke with?

The wood in the pile is all oak, but I also buy hickory wood chunks, which I soak and use. Also, I use that old trick about using water soaked pecan shells to cool off fires that get too hot.

Oh, and forgot to mention, yes I do use natural chunk charcoal. No briquettes for me.

There is always plenty of that, when I am cooking.

Thank you.

I actually got most of this stuff really cheap, believe it or not. The propane grill was originally my dad's, but he gave it to me. The smoker, I picked up from an estate sale for 20 bucks, and because the kettle grill was the floor model at a wal-mart, and they had no more in stock, and there was no price tag, I managed to convince the manager to let me have it for 40 bucks.

If you are looking for a smoker, my dad owns a Big Green Egg and is fucking crazy about that thing. So...that's what I'd recommend. I will say there's a slight learning curve, but it's not that challenging once you get the hang of controlling the temp.

Needs another table/prep area.

9.5/10 Very nice

That's why the grill stuff is there, I deliberately set it up in the shitty area of my backyard, where the grass doesn't grow, so it wouldn't fuck it up.

I'm getting another table next time I get paid, I recently started working at a Sam's club, and they have great patio furniture, so I'm gonna use my employee discount. I made the table you see sitting there.

noice op, which one's your favorite to use?

>> No.4392013

Probably the kettle grill, it's the most versatile. I really only use the propane grill for conveniences sake.
