On grilled cheese?

>> No.4365533

When melting cheese, using multiple types is doubleplus good.

I can't imagine why anybody would be opposed to this.

It's a OKAY substitute for tomato soup

Then great job, OP. Looks delicious.

Too much depending on personal preference. I would leave it at cheddar and swiss, personally. If the cheese is good, that should be enough.

I'll stick to Wisconsin and Vermont cheese

The west coast just doesn't have the climate for good cheese

>> No.4365758

Bullshit.
Northern California has a great climate for cheesemaking. The foggy weather, the stable climate and the abundant grassland make unique and tasty cheeses.

I don't know the science behind it but something about having real winters makes for better cheese

I was just in Tillamook on Sunday!

Went to the cheese production plant there and seen them packing up the cheese.

Yes, too much. Only add ingredients where their absence would be notable.

Here I'm sure you could leave out the Colby Jack without any significant change to the flavour, unless it's there in a very high proportion. In which case you could probably leave out the cheddar and/or the Swiss.

And yeah, I think your bread is slightly too scorched -- aim for golden to brown tones.

Stay mad flyover bro, stay mad.

>> No.4366158

>>4366144

Flyover doesn't mean "not from the PNW"

Still, I'm no snob. Tilamook is a perfectly ok product if you only have a low tier grocery store nearby that doesn't have anything better. It's a pretty decent choice for grilled cheese.
