I do not like that the hop is a focal flavor point.

Tell me about a good hop filled beer that doesn't smell like skunk weed and i will try it

Is that lagunitas or knee deep? Either way, -50 pts for the gun

I hate to hop (ha ha get it) on the dogshit train but the 60 and the 90 are both pretty good at balancing the hops against the other flavors. The 120 as good as it is, does kind of smell like skunk weed.

I hear ya man. I generally go for dark beers, Guinness is the main standby, anything with Chocolate Stout in the name. Negro Modelo is also good and is on tap in any place that doesn't have Guinness on tap... And if neither is on tap then where the fuck are you.

If you don't like hops and you don't like dark beers, then try a Lambic of any kind. Most of them are expensive and fruity as hell, but they pack a deceptive punch. More affordable but in the same spectrum are Belgian style wheat beers like Shock Top.

Explain yourself

There are shit hefeweisens that taste like dead straw but by and large the German brew I have sampled is quite good.

I really like double bocks at the moment

Seriously? I visited most of the breweries/brewpubs in the province, and there was plenty of good stuff, but they don't bring to mind "best beer in the world". Anyways, the "who makes the best" is talking about the masses, not people who have actually have a good knowledge of beer. To point to any one country and say they're the best is stupid.

Come on, step it up. At least try Guinness foreign extra stout or some weiss beers not made by macrobrewers that are served with fruit to add flavor. A nice Weissbock is something you should look for.

I love me some microbrews too, but what's the point in recommending something that the OP will probably have to go through hell to find? If you find a microbrew stout or Weiss in your locale that you like then good on ya. The macrobrews serve as a good point of reference to start looking for what you like.

Are you the same guy who keeps shitting up /ck/ with your rants against imaginary people who love shock top? I go to a few other food and drink websites but /ck/ is the only place where that name comes up on a regular basis. If you love it so much why don't you marry it?
