Reminds me of my early childhood.
I had no idea chocolate malt-o-meal existed, but one morning my mom was talking about it while we ate regular malt-o-meal before I had to go to school.
It sounded like heaven, and she offered to put chocolate syrup in my bowl to create makeshift chocolate malt-o-meal.
I had to decline, I didn't want to offend her by completely changing the flavor of something she had cooked for me, I was already incredibly grateful that I was able to have breakfast with my mom.
That day when I came home from school, we went grocery shopping & she bought a box of chocolate malt-o-meal just for me.

God I miss my mother. I miss young me.
The strokes completely changed her.
Trying to cope has ruined me.
