Looks fun for a once a lifetime thing. It's only those regular customers that die eating there.

I went there when I was in Vegas. It's a neat concept, a cool menu, a cool environment, and there's a good chance you'll get to chat up the owner while he's taking your order as well.

That being said, the waitresses are not nearly that hot (most looked like single mothers making ends meet), they only accept cash, and (most importantly) the food is very mediocre.

It's pretty neat to be served tall boys of malt liquor from a paper bag, buttermilk milkshakes with a pad of butter for garnish, and having everything cooked in lard with all the fixins, but honestly, I would say the food is on par with Five Guy's, a little better in some areas and a little lacking in others.

All in all, I would say it was an interesting experience, getting to talk to the owner was a treat, and the atmosphere/menu was enjoyable, but I really couldn't see myself going out of my way to eat there again if I went back.

The owner died at a young age of influenza. Yes, he was obese.

I find this kind of response to obesity to just be retarded. We are seeing this wave of fat apologists and even fat embracers. This whole notion of, "well I'm fat because I want to be fat and I'd rather be dead than be in good shape".

It is an odd defense mechanism to a personal problem, and the more people that are loud about it the more other fat people will cling to this "movement".

At least they will die prematurely, so it is a self-limiting phenomenon in that respect. Seeing your Proud to Be Fat relative die with 1 arm, a handful of opportunistic infections, heart disease, and moldy skin folds will probably be a wake-up call for some.

They will die prematurely and we can all take solace in that fact. However if I was there I'm pretty sure I'd try it out for lunch one day unless my schedule was so goddamn packed that I couldn't spare an afternoon.

Moderation is the key to eating healthy.

Gimmicky tourist trap. If you want a REAL heart-attack-inducing meal, go here:

http://www.sammysdoghouse.moonfruit.com/

Have a pastrami sammich and bacon cheddar fries, and wash it down with a milkshake. You will instantly go into cardiac arrest.

BEST pastrami sammich I've ever had, btw....
