I recently bought a farborware percolator and have been (trying) to use it, but the coffee keeps coming out like shit, doesnt have any taste to it.

I put the grounds in the basket, place the lid on (shouldnt the lid snap on the basket or something? it just lays in there loose) fill water up to the fil line, Then cook it over the stove on a small burner for 20-25 mins

What am i doing wrong?

Brewing coffee is extremely complicated, unless you want to waste hours trying to figure out the correct method, I recommend using k-cups. It may seem expensive but trust me if you have a decent paying job it's worth it ;)

As soon as the coffee starts to boil out, turn the heat down to medium low until done.

What kind of grounds are you using?

Top should fit tight
bring to boil, then reduce heat to where
the perks are about 1 a second, watch the glass.
maybe 15-20 minutes ought to be ready

>> No.4303306

thanks for all the handy tips, im thinking im not cooking it long enough. do you cook it 25 min after it start to perculater? cause it takes 20 mins to get it perculating.
to long or not long enough?
