Dinner thread? Dinner thread. What are you eating for dinner? I made a spicy chicken sandwich and potato salad. Bacon was perfectly cooked. Washed it down with Squall IPA, the strong flavor helped ease the the burn of the sandwich.

This thread will double as a BEER THREAD! Who doesn't love beer? Also, if you haven't tried Squall yet, I highly recommend it.

That was my point: speakeasies are pretty much the same as moonshine these days.

The only difference is that when speakeasies go mainstream they tend to serve classic cocktails that you typically don't find in most bars.

If you can find legit moonshine that is actually cheap and worth drinking, then good for you.

You an amerifag? Then consider yourself lucky, as the US has the most exciting microbrewery scene in the world... I don't have any in-depth knowledge, but I'd recommend anything from Sierra Nevada and Brooklyn Brewery. You probably want to stay away from barley wines and imperial stouts for the time being (although I loved the first taste), don't touch lambic/gueuze/wild ales, even with a 10-foot pole. In general, don't start with the higher ABV beers (as they tend to be very powerful in flavor).

BrewDog is one of my favorite breweries out there. Their Punk IPA is the beer that made me discover craft beer. Try it and fall in love...

I like this advice. i thkn IPAs are an aqcuired taste, I hated the first one I had and I'll try anything now. I think all craft stouts taste basicaly the same. I'm getting more into maltier IPAs when I used to hate them. also, im very drunk. 4 captchas later

Thanks guys. Super quick and cheap to make.

For the broccoli, cut into florets, add sliced garlic and olive oil, season with lots of salt and pepper and roast at however hot your oven can get until the tips are slightly brown and they're crunchy. Zest a lemon and squeeze some juice over them, season more and sprinkle with Parmesan.

For the pasta, I fried some cut up bacon without oil (for dat dere unadulterated bacon fat taste), then added al-dente pasta once it was crisp and fried for a bit so the pasta had a slight crunch. Seasoned with salt and pepper, sprinkled with Parmesan.

Looks like chili with tater tots thrown in, slathered with processed nacho cheese shit, and topped with diced onion.

Aside from that cheese, I would definitely go for that right about now.

I had a rare sirloin, with potatoes roasted in goose fat, garlic, sage and thyme. I removed the steak from the pan, left in the onions and garlic, deglazed the pan with red wine, and reduced it while the steak rested. Its my birthday tomorrow, and my friends always make me go out, so I like to cook myself a nice meal, and have a quiet night to myself the day before.

The beer is pretty decent, but I cant fucking stand the brewdog shtick. Those fuckers are trying way to hard to cultivate a bullshit "punk" image. I bet you know one guy who smokes a pipe to be "quirky" and "individual", and everyone things he's a pretentious dickhead. Its the beer version of that guy.
