I want to make some bitchin' sandwiches next week.
I rarely do anything more interesting than processed sandwich ham, presliced cheddar and branston pickle, or something equivalently plebian.
I have the resources of a fairly well stocked Tescos at my disposal. Share with me your optimal sandwiches.

Reubuen. I think when it's executed right it tastes fucking great.

Lots of recipes online, so my only advice is to go a bit heavier on sauerkraut and Russian dressing or cut a bit back on the meat-- it tastes a lot better when you cut through the cheese and fat. And be sure to fucking butter and grill your rye because otherwise you're a fucking peasant.

Pathetic.

>> No.4262239

Ciabatta or focaccia
roast beef
some manner of aged cheddar
fresh basil
whole mustard and honey vinaigrette

It's pretty fuckin' tasty overall

a proper reuben is a fuckton of corned beef, a generous helpin of sauerkraut and russian dressing, on toasted jewish rye.

OP, you're going about this all wrong.

Hi, my name is Anon, and I fucking love sandwiches.

You want to make bitchin' sandwiches? You gotta get out there. Try the bitchin' sandwiches from bitchin' sandwich shops around you. Find out what the professionals are doing.

No, not Jimmy Johns. Not Subway. I'm talking about the fanatics.

Don't live in an area with awesome sandwiches? I feel bad for you, son. But there's hope. There's the internet. Here's some links.

They're both advertising fronts for Wisconsin cheese, but the sandwiches are good.

Go back to pok pok with your sleeve tattoos and locally sourced semen.

So there does.
Regardless, reuben's are designed to be kosher. Thats why they originated in Jewish delis. Adding swiss cheese adds nothing but calories.

Shit, we're talking about reubens? Let's talk about reubens.

Sauerkraut is often overpowering. Try braising some red cabbage. Cheese is optional, but hardly sacrilege. Don't butter your bread, because you've got a heavy enough sandwich as it is. Use oil instead and you'll get crisper bread that holds up better.

Don't put fucking salad dressing on your reuben. I don't care if it's russian or 1000. Make your own sauce. Try a little aioli with some homemade ketchup, which is easy as fuck to put together, and some malt vinegar. Gonna blow your mind, friend.

Want to make it a little more robust? A little lovin' from some prepared horseradish is nice.

I've been to pok pok, and I'll certainly go back. Damn good food.

And... I mean, yeah, my semen is locally sourced. Why would I get semen from anywhere else?

On Lardo: went the other day. Had the Pork Belly, Egg and Cheese which, amusingly enough, highlights the local egg. But, hey. We live in an are surrounded by farms, so why not?

So fucking good. Super runny yolk, the pork belly was seared but not overly crispy, and the mayo was amazing.

Also, we've got the best fuckin' food writer in the world: Chris Onstad. That's right: the motherfucker who did Achewood reviews food. His piece on Blue Star Doughnuts just dropped, and man, did he ever kick the shit out of Voodoo Donuts in it.

And you're not in a Youtube comment, so tuck yourself back in and talk about some sandwiches.

Here you go, OP. A sandwich a day, for a whole month.
