Yeah I used to use my laptop in the kitchen all the time for music and recipes. But we have better technology now. I use my husbands tableet for recipes and my ipod dock to play pandora in the kitchen.

I got my husband one since he was always downloading comics and reading them on his giant laptop. But yeah, it's pretty great for recipes, my mom got me a cooks illustrated subscription and their site works really well on the tablet.

yeah I have several issues of cooks illustrated in my dropbox and a subscription to their site, it is amazing on the tablet. I also have access to grandmother's hand-me-down cook books I have scanned so I don't destroy them just from opening them up (one is from the 1920s called "Adventures in Cooing"). Why would anyone hate someone that uses a tablet in the kitchen? I can even make notes on new recipes I develop.
